In the spring of 2022, Barbara, Jess, and Tiayana Marks- the lead vetter for the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools (CMS) project- had the opportunity to travel to North Carolina to participate in year one Implementation Walks at CMS. Wonderful to be in schools again and see classrooms where students were doing and talking mathematics using the Math 1 program we designed and produced. Also lovely to meet so many people in person that we’ve only met virtually. Using a new curriculum is a process and we were thrilled to see so many teachers, coaches, and leaders being exactly where they should be at this point of implementation.
